Even in the belting down rain last Sunday during the Cruise the Lake at @lakesidepark_official, Glenn's @xfile.shark still looked amazing. I wonder whether we'll be looking at similar conditions for the one-day race meet on Saturday. 🤔 That would make it interesting. 😉

Even during sprints at @lakesidepark_official, some people still like to play a game of Spot-the-Bryce. 🤣 Such was the case on Saturday when friend of this page Cian Hanley pointed me out during the @scmsclubinc Sprints Day. I don't recommend this though as it reduces your lap-times by a good second. 😉 Plenty of photos were taken on the day so check them out on the website. 😎🤙📷

I've always been a Pony guy, from way back when I had a '67 in my 20's, stored for ages and on-sold because I simply didn't have the time to commit to the restoration and yes, I regret it to this day. These two looked stunning on track together on Sunday during @lakesidepark_official's Cruise the Lake. So many cool and gorgeous cars took to the track during the day. 🤙😎📷

Grey on grey on grey on grey. Rain marred what was an otherwise fantastic weekend at @lakesidepark_official for yesterday's @scmsclubinc Sprints Day and today's Cruise the Lake, but created great photo opportunities. Just one of the many tall-rigs that took to the track for Sunday's @wanderersbrisbane Cruise for the Blues at @lakesidepark_official - meet @mum_bus_. Plenty of people came out to help raise funds for @beyondblueofficial and raise awareness for mental health. What a fantastic day and well done to @mrjessehiddins, @mrskassiilee and the team!!! 🫶💙

What a fantastic day at @lakesidepark_official for @wanderersbrisbane's Cruise for the Blues with proceeds being donated to @beyondblueofficial to assist with the combat of mental health issues. Cruises, flex ramp and skid-pan activities were the order of the day but check out the on-track field before we got underway today. Another big weekend at the Lake with Monster Street Car Club leading off Saturday with happy laps before test and tune day, and Sunday saw the @wrxclubqld take to the track for happy laps before the bikes took over for Track Action Moto Ride Days. Who doesn't love a beautiful old XY? Now, who doesn't love a beautiful old XY being driven HARD down the strip? Even now, some 55+ years after their release, an XY still looks tough AF in my opinion and this is no exception. This was just one of the many hot metals that took part in the Lakeside Drag Racing at the Lake on Sunday. @lakesidepark_official

Last Sunday at the Lakeside Drag Racing Off-Street Drags, we had a couple of vehicles on track that you wouldn't ordinarily expect to tear up the strip. All Aussie Father's Day is coming up at @lakesidepark_official this Sunday, 6th of September. For the first time since 2018, I will not be there as I will in New Zealand for work but I wish everyone a fantastic event. Even though I won't be there, I'll be thinking of you all and hope to see of flood of photos, videos and posts afterwards as I struggle with my FOMO!!! An entire half-day dedicated to the Ford Falcon's little brother, the Cortina. That's what we had today at Lakeside Park, when Qld Cortinas and Co held their "Cortina Day @ Lakeside Raceway" this morning. Here's a pic straight off the drone of the collection that took to the track for what is becoming a customary formation picture opportunity before leading off for a parade lap or two.
